Antoinette Belanger
Executive Advisor

With a bird's-eye view across teams and departments,
it allows me to connect dots in ways others can't.

I ensure to make the most of the Executive's limited and valuable time with strategic focus and operational efficiency.

I am also deeply relationship-oriented and understand the value in building relationships with all team members.
It helps me anticipate needs and seamlessly step into and out of workflows across the company.

2021 - Present
Executive Advisor
Liquids Pipelines

ENBRIDGE INC.

This position functions as the right-hand of the EVP, like a Chief of Staff, and plans and organizes the executive team to achieve strategic priorities.  Major functions of the role include:

  • Managing EVP priorities and planning

  • Supporting EVP and leadership team efficacy

  • Fostering trusting and effective relationships with EVP stakeholders

  • Partner with internal business partners/LP functions to drive and execute communications and stakeholder strategies - all internal and external communications and stakeholder management for the EVP is coordinated through this role

  • Project management of senior leadership driven initiatives

2019 - 2021

Executive Assistant

Finance

ENBRIDGE INC.

Two critical factors determine how well a manager utilizes an assistant:  The first is the executive’s willingness to delegate pieces of his or her workload to the assistant. The second is the assistant’s willingness to stretch beyond his or her comfort zone to assume new responsibilities.

This approach has led to mutually successful careers and promotions for me and for the Executive I support:

...it's more than calendar management, it's understanding Executive priorities and uncovering innovative ways to leverage the CFO's time.

...it's more than being the SharePoint architect, it's being the architect for information sharing.

...it's more than networking, it's being the relationship engineer.

2014-2019

Senior Administrative Assistant

ENBRIDGE INC.

Unparalleled levels of flexibility to accommodate the Senior Vice President's portfolio changes and responsibilities: Treasury, Tax, Strategy, Investment Review, Corporate Development, ELT meeting Coordinator, as well as adaptability to a rapidly changing company landscape.

2013-2014

Senior Administrative Assistant

ENBRIDGE INC.

My first role at Enbridge in the Treasury department is where I cultivated key administrative accountabilities for a midstream company:

  • Executive Calendar Management

  • Event planning and execution

  • Outside stakeholders, business organizations and industry contacts liaison

  • Department expenses and budget management
  • Administration procedures and processes development and improvement

SKILLS
SKILLS

I am a rover that fills gaps to get the job done: no job is too big or too small.

Exceptional communication skills.

Able to convey complex ideas and communicate with clarity, confidence, and authority.  I am professional and can consider the right tone for any audience or situation.

Ability to anticipate.

I have a special knack for "seeing around corners."

I anticipate needs before they arise, and make sure meeting attendees or team members are prepared and able to make meetings both efficient and successful.

Utmost discretion.

As part of a privileged web of information, my key strength is my strong sense of integrity and providing a natural and implicit level of trust.

Master of logistics with an eye for detail.

Coordinate briefs and complex travel itineraries with multi-city stops, integrating meetings with employees, community and indigenous groups, and all levels of government. This has reduced the Executive's overall travel.

Ensure delegation and prioritization.

I have developed a crystal clear understanding of the EVP's top priorities and how those drive company performance and culture.  I act as the initial filter on the EVP's time and attention, ensuring his focus remains on task, while avoiding the stigma of gatekeeper.

Constantly learning.

I have a natural curiosity for how things work and am always looking to grow both my core skills and broader knowledge base.  I am comfortable giving and receiving direct, actionable feedback.
